Arsenal new signing, Viktor Gyokeres, has explained his goal celebration against Leeds United on Saturday.

After netting his first goal for Arsenal, a club he joined a few weeks back, the striker performed a cheeky hair-flick celebration in front of the Gunners supporters.

He netted twice in Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Leeds.

He explained that the celebrations was a response to people who had mocked his performance in the first game of the season against Manchester United.

The Swede did not play a single shot against Manchester United and was taken off on the hour-mark at Old Trafford in the Gunners’ 1-0 win.

Gyokeres netted his second goal of the night from the penalty spot in the dying moments of the game.

Last weekend, many joked that the Swede took more touch of his hair than he touched the ball and after scoring his second goal, he responded to the stroll.

“Yeah, it might be. It could be something to do with that,” Gyokeres told Sky Sports.

“I’m really happy with the result and yeah, of course, it was very nice to score two goals as well.”

The victory on Saturday ensured that Arsenal maintained a hundred percent start to the season and are sitting top of the Premier League table.
