Former international, Victor Ikpeba has backed the Super Eagles to get their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign back on track with victories over Rwanda, and South Africa, DAILY POST reports.

Eric Chelle’s side have recorded just one win from six games in the qualifying series.

The West Africans occupy fourth position in their group with seven points from six games.

South Africa top the standings with 13 points from the same number of matches.

Nigeria will welcome the Amavubi of Rwanda in a matchday seven encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday, 6 September.

They will travel to Blomfeinteim four days later for the clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

Ikpeba believed the Super Eagles will get the job done in the upcoming games.

“There’s pride, determination and honour to play for your country, I believe the boys are now ready and determined to do the job against Rwanda and South Africa,” the former Monaco striker told SuperSport.

The Super Eagles camp for both games will open next week Monday.
