The National Leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has said the party is ready to engage in discussions with other political groups, individuals, or coalitions as Nigeria moves toward the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Thursday at the NNPP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, the former Kano State governor explained that no negotiations are currently happening.

However, he emphasized that “any step toward building alliances would be taken collectively with the involvement of both party leaders and members.”

Kwankwaso made it clear that the NNPP will not rush into signing any agreements but is open to talks with stakeholders who share the same vision.

He said the party’s main goal is to serve Nigerians by presenting a credible alternative and building a platform that contributes meaningfully to national development.

According to him, the NNPP remains inclusive, “welcoming new entrants while respecting the choices of those who may opt out.”

Kwankwaso also reassured party members of his commitment to teamwork and unity.

He added that : “The party will continue to prioritize collective decision-making, unity, and service to the people as it prepares for the future.”
