Former Arsenal midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, is keen on returning to manage the club and is willing to wait to replace Mikel Arteta, the UK Sun reports.

Fabregas has impressed in his first managerial stint with Como for the last two years.

He led Como to a 10th place finish last season, but is eyeing a future back in north London.

Fabregas burst onto the scene at Arsenal, enjoying an eight-year spell in the senior team and winning the FA Cup in 2005.

While Arsenal are said to be big admirers of Fabregas, there is no desire to change from Arteta any time soon.

Arteta has led Arsenal to three second-place finishes in row.

Fabregas is enjoying life at Como and has turned down offers from Bayer Leverkusen, Inter Milan and Roma.
