Sevilla have announced the termination of Kelechi Iheanacho’s contract.

The LaLiga club revealed this in a terse statement on transfer deadline day on Monday.

This means the Super Eagles forward is now a free agent and could yet join a new team this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Iheanacho is attracting attention from Celtic.

The Scottish champions have sold Adam Idah to Swansea City for a £6 million fee, and manager Brendan Rodgers now wants to be reunited with Iheanacho.

The 28-year-old played under Rodgers at Leicester City, and could now continue his career in Scotland.

Celtic had tried to sign Chelsea’s David Datro Fofana, but the Ivorian is set to join Charlton on loan instead.
