Galatasaray manager, Okan Buruk, has provided the latest update on striker Victor Osimhen’s condition ahead of his side’s away UEFA Champions League tie with Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.

Osimhen is currently recovering from an ankle ligament injury he sustained against Rwanda while on international duty with the Nigeria national football team (Super Eagles) last weekend.

As a result of the injury, the 26-year-old didn’t play in Galatasaray’s 2-0 win against Eyüpspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday at Eyüp Stadyumu.

Recall that Osimhen was not included in the squad that defeated Eyüpspor as goals from Mauro Icardi and Yunus Akgün gave Galatasaray all three points against the hosts.

Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Buruk said of Osimhen ahead of Galatasaray’s Champions League tie with Frankfurt on Thursday (via habersarikirmizi): “Osimhen’s condition will be clear in a few days.

“We think he will play [against Eyüpspor]. He has pain, we will see if he can play with it [against Frankfurt].”
