A member of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bashir Gumel, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid is a done deal.
According to him, the majority of Nigerians have reached a resolution to support Tinubu in 2027.
In a statement by his personal assistant, Zakari Kafinhausa, Gumel said Tinubu had implemented projects across the country worthy of his re-election by Nigerians.
Gumel noted that with the adoption of the president across the six geopolitical zones, stakeholders in Jigawa State cannot sit behind but must join the moving train.
“This is a testament to our resolve in Jigawa State to join all other well-meaning Nigerians to ensure that the President continues the good works he started in 2023 in fixing the country.
“As we all know, Jigawa is one of the states delivered to the All Progressives Congress during the 2023 presidential election under the leadership of Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, Honourable Minister of Defence. This gathering, under his leadership, will continue to support Tinubu’s reforms and deliver the state once again come 2027.”
This comes amid the emergence of an opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress to unseat President Tinubu in 2025.
