The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Headquarters Logistics Command has announced the temporary closure of portions of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Road, Lagos, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to facilitate its routine 10-kilometre Walk/Jog Exercise.

In a statement issued by the Command Public Relations Officer, Squadron Leader Abigail Ologun, the physical exercise, scheduled to hold between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., is part of the NAF’s ongoing commitment to maintaining physical fitness, health, and operational readiness among its officers and airmen.

The statement advised motorists and residents around the Murtala Muhammed Airport axis to seek alternative routes during the exercise, as movement will be temporarily restricted from Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2, MMA2, to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA.

“The Command has made adequate arrangements to ensure the exercise is smooth, safe, and hitch-free. NAF and other security personnel will be on ground to guide traffic and ensure public safety,” the statement read in part.

While regretting any inconvenience the brief road closure might cause, the Air Force appealed for the cooperation and understanding of the public, assuring that normal traffic flow will be restored immediately after the exercise.
