A late-night altercation reportedly broke out on a Nollywood movie set involving actors Taye Arimoro and Peggy Ovire, with both sides sharing conflicting accounts of what transpired.
In a viral live video shared by Taye Arimoro, the actor alleged that the misunderstanding began after he attempted to leave the movie location past his agreed contract time.
According to him, his call time for the next day was 10 a.m., and his contract for that night was meant to end by 11 p.m.
Taye Arimoro further claimed that as tensions escalated, he was assaulted by members of the production team, sustaining injuries to his gum and lips.

He also alleged that his car tires were deflated during the confrontation, preventing him from leaving the location.
However, Peggy Ovire disputed the claims, accusing Arimoro of physically assaulting her driver during the incident.
She alleged that the driver was left bleeding from the ear and has since received medical attention.

Both parties have since shared video evidence supporting their respective claims, intensifying public debate about the incident.
The clash, which reportedly occurred during a shoot that extended past midnight, has drawn attention to concerns within Nollywood regarding working conditions, and extended production hours.
Below are some of the comments;
“WTF. how! What’s all this violence on set this days. If u can’t be civil why be in a public place. This is sad.”
“I absolutely condemn how Taye Arimoro was treated. It is totally unacceptable. Forcing him to shoot two more scenes at midnight? Even if you had accommodation for him, most likely NOT!!! His safety? An Actor in the capacity of EP/Producer as well? It is very unacceptable.”
“This is really bad, he should also tell us what really happened because the story is not clear.”
