Prof. Mojisola C. Adeyeye is honoured with the Award of Exemplary Leadership in Public Service for orchestrating one of the most significant institutional turnarounds in the history of Nigerian public administration.

As the Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), she inherited an agency facing financial and operational challenges and transformed it into a solvency-driven, customer-focused regulator aligned with global best practices.

Her leadership is defined by the historic attainment of the World Health Organization (WHO) Maturity Level 3 (ISO 9004) classification in 2022, a milestone that certifies NAFDAC as a stable, well-functioning, and integrated regulatory authority. This achievement, underpinned by her earlier success in securing ISO 9001:2015 certification, has elevated the global standing of Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector.

Her impact is bolstered by a stellar academic background. A Professor Emeritus of Pharmaceutics and Drug Product Evaluation at Roosevelt University, USA, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science, she became the first African woman Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). With five patents, over 65 peer-reviewed publications, and leadership roles in the African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (AMRH) Steering Committee, Prof. Adeyeye brings world-class intellectual rigour to public service, ensuring that Nigerians have access to safe, quality, and affordable medicines.
