The Benue State government owned transport company -Benue Links has slashed it’s fare for the yuletide season.

This was announced by the Company’s Information Officer Johnson Ehi in a statement on Friday.

It has been the tradition of the company to cut down on its fares during the yuletide season since the assumption of Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia as governor of Benue state.

He, however, announced that the Christmas bonanza would become effective from December 8th.

While in other climes, businesses cut down on prices because of the rush, in Nigeria, it is the opposite as the cost of goods and services, especially transportation, skyrockets during the Christmas season because of the high rate of travel within the period.
