A 54-year-old woman has been arrested after police uncovered that she was allegedly running a private prison inside her home, where she detained men who drank at her beer bar.

According to reports, the woman from Limpopo, South Africa, who owns a beer bar, converted part of her house into a makeshift detention centre.

The incident has sparked shock and outrage, with many questioning how such an illegal operation continued for weeks without detection.

On social media, some users expressed disbelief, with one commentator saying, “I don’t want to believe this… 36 men.”

Others, however, praised her, with one writing, “She is doing diligent work that even the authorities can’t do—basically the police, lawyer, judge, and prison officer all in one.”
