Relationship therapist Blessing CEO has expressed relief and happiness after her partner, Ikechukwu Darry Ogobnna, popularly known as IVD, was discharged and acquitted in the long-running case surrounding the death of his wife.

Blessing announced the development on December 15, describing the ruling as the end of a painful four-year ordeal marked by tears, public scrutiny, and what she called false narratives.

She shared the news in an emotional post on her Instagram page, where she praised Nigeria’s justice system and congratulated IVD on regaining his freedom.

“Discharged and acquitted… 15th December 2025. It ended in praise. Four years of tears and false narratives. Nigeria’s justice system still works. I am proud of my country,” she wrote. “Ikechukwu Darry Ogobnna, IVD, you can now have your life back. Congratulations.”

According to Blessing, the court’s decision brought closure to a chapter that had deeply affected their lives, both emotionally and socially.

She suggested that the case had been driven by misinformation and sustained public pressure, which she said took a toll on everyone involved.

Beyond celebrating the acquittal, Blessing used the moment to share advice on relationships and marriage.

She urged people not to remain in toxic unions, warning that unresolved conflicts can spiral into irreversible situations.

“If marriage or relationship no dey work, please run, don’t wait for anybody to pass. Run,” she added, stressing the importance of prioritising personal safety and emotional wellbeing.

IVD was arrested in August at the airport in connection with a domestic violence case linked to his late wife, Bimbo.

His arrest sparked widespread debate on social media, with opinions sharply divided over the circumstances surrounding the case.

At the time, Blessing had publicly defended IVD, insisting that there was no travel ban placed on him.

She also accused some individuals and groups of bullying and harassment, claiming that the situation had been sensationalised online.

The case attracted significant public attention over the years, becoming one of the most discussed domestic-related legal battles in Nigeria’s recent history.

The acquittal has now brought the legal proceedings to a close, though reactions on social media remain mixed.

As of the time of this report, no official statement has been released by the prosecuting authorities regarding the court’s decision.

However, Blessing’s announcement has continued to generate conversation, with supporters congratulating the couple and critics questioning the outcome.

For Blessing CEO and IVD, the ruling represents a fresh start, one they say has been hard-earned after years of legal battles and public judgement.
