NSCDC deploys 1,200 personnel for Christmas, New Year festivities in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 1,200 personnel to enhance security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Hamidu Nyako, disclosed this to newsmen in Yola, explaining that the personnel have been stationed at strategic locations across the state to ensure peaceful and trouble-free celebrations.

Nyako said that under the leadership of the State Commandant, Idris Bande, NSCDC is fully prepared to monitor all areas expected to witness large gatherings during the festivals.

According to him, patrol vehicles provided by the Adamawa State Government will significantly aid the state command’s efforts in carrying out its responsibilities.

The NSCDC spokesman urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information to help prevent criminal activities and ensure swift responses to security challenges.
