A Nigerian man has sparked conversation on social media after claiming his wife left him with their three-month-old baby following what he described as a “little misunderstanding.”

The post, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @Teniola, features the emotional man explaining that his wife has been away from home for four days, leaving him to care for their infant.

Married for barely a year, he said he is confused, heartbroken, and struggling to understand how a minor disagreement could escalate so quickly.

“My wife left me… at first, I thought it was a joke. I never wanted to make this video, but this situation has really choked me.

This baby has been crying, and she’s all I’ve been taking care of. She’s been gone for four to five days. Can you believe she left a three-month-old baby with me? How am I supposed to take care of her?”

What seemed like a small issue quickly became overwhelming, especially as he had no choice but to nurture the baby, putting his work and personal life on hold.

Reactions online have been divided. Some blamed the wife for leaving with a young baby, while others defended her, noting that a woman rarely walks away from her home without deep reasons.

Many users advised counseling, family intervention, and honest communication rather than public lamentation.

This situation has reopened discussions about marriage readiness, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution, serving as a reminder that relationship issues are rarely one-sided.
