Senior Pastor Chris Okafor has described attacks on churches and religious leaders as spiritual assaults rather than ordinary human actions.
This comes after the social media commentator, Verydarkman released audio recordings with his alleged daughter who made heavy accusations against the pastor.

Speaking during a church service, Okafor stated that individuals who attack a “man of God” are operating as “demons on assignment,” insisting such actions go beyond personal criticism and are targeted at the church and its members.
He referenced the biblical phrase “strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter,” arguing that persecution of religious leaders ultimately affects congregants.

According to the cleric, attacks on pastors amount to attacks on church members’ blessings and spiritual help, stressing that prophets are placed among people for guidance and support.
He maintained that when a pastor he described as “genuinely innocent” is persecuted, the wider congregation also suffers spiritual consequences.

“When you see a person att@cking a man of God, that person is not just a human being, that person is a dem0n on assignment. When you strike the shepherd, the sheep will scatter. It is not just about the shepherd. It is also about the people that the shepherd carries.
Every time you see a man of God who is genuinely innocent and they’re persecuting, it’s not just an attack on him, it’s an attack on you [church members].
Number one, it is your blessing that is being attacked. Number two it says the prophet is in their midst to help them. It is your help they are attacking….”
