In a video making the rounds on social media today, Monday, June 16, 2025, a visibly concerned Tuface appealed to all stakeholders to move beyond mere condemnation and take decisive action to prevent further loss of life.

“My heart is heavy. I am terribly sad and terribly angry. What is going on in my state, Benue State, has become a national emergency. I can’t wrap my head around it.

“I don’t know what to say at this point in time. It is going to be business as usual,  you condemn it. This has to stop. It has to involve everybody,” said Idibia.

According to Tuface, a solution will involve important stakeholders taking serious action rather than condemning the attacks each time they occur.

“This is not child’s play. It is becoming ridiculous. It is annoying. I don’t know where to start expressing my sadness, anger, grief, or frustration. Every time we call on governors and presidents. This is not funny anymore.

“It has gone beyond condemning. Serious action needs to start to take place; every stakeholder needs to come together and fight this. There is a solution. Let us be serious with it,” he added.
