British-Nigerian rapper and singer, Oluwafisayo Isa, popularly known as Darkoo, has revealed she is prepared to start a family but on her own terms.
The “Favourite Girl” hitmaker shared during a chat with Madame Joyce that while she’s ready to become a mother, she isn’t interested in going through pregnancy herself. Instead, she plans for her partner to carry their future child.
“I’m at a stage in life where I’m thinking seriously about having children. I believe I’d be a great mother, but I just don’t want to carry a baby,” she said. “My partner will be the one to do that.”
Darkoo emphasized that motherhood is about love and nurturing, not just biology. She believes caring for and raising a child goes beyond physical connections.
In a separate revelation from 2024, the openly queer artist shared how coming out to her parents about her sexuality brought her emotional relief. She disclosed that speaking with her mother about her identity made her feel significantly lighter and happier.
