Lebanon’s Health Ministry has confirmed that one person was killed following an Israeli drone strike on the southern border town of Halta.

In a statement released on Saturday, the ministry said, “One martyr has fallen as a result of the drone strike launched by the Israeli enemy on the town of Halta.”

The strike marks the latest breach of a ceasefire agreement reached in November, which had officially ended months of conflict between Israel and Hezbollah militants.

Tensions along the Israeli-Lebanese border have remained high despite the truce, with sporadic incidents reported in recent weeks. Both sides have accused each other of violating the terms of the ceasefire.

Israeli authorities have not immediately commented on the reported strike.
