NPFL: Enyimba confirm exit of five players on mutual consent

Nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions, Enyimba have confirmed the exit of five of their senior players on mutual consent.

Former captain Sominari Alalibo, Chidera Ezeh, Chukwudi Justin Nwaodu, Onyirimba Odinaka and Onyemaechi Austin have all left the People’s Elephant with four matches remaining before the end of the campaign.

Sporting director of the Aba giants, Ifeanyi Ekwueme stated that the club is driven by excellence and professionalism.

Ekwueme said they respect the choices, rights and decisions of the players.

“Yes, they have left Enyimba on mutual consent,” the former Super Eagles winger told Completesports.

“They gave their best to the club and we wish them the best in their future career destinations.

“Enyimba is a professionally run club, driven by excellence and professionalism in everything.

“We respect the rights, choices and decisions of players in furtherance of their individual careers.”

The two-time African champions will be in action against oriental rivals, Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday (today).
