Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has addressed her ongoing feud with her junior colleague, Eniola Badmus, shedding more light on what led to the fallout between them.
Weeks ago, Eniola had left a comment on Opeyemi’s Instagram post, mocking her hairline a remark many deemed insensitive. Hurt by the comment, Aiyeola publicly called out Eniola, describing her as hypocritical and lacking empathy, especially considering how Badmus had previously dealt with body-shaming before undergoing weight loss surgery.
Although Eniola later apologized and claimed the comment was a joke, Opeyemi rejected the apology, deleted the comment, and accused her of gaslighting. She emphasized that they had no personal relationship and had never exchanged playful banter, making the remark disrespectful and unwelcome.
In a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, Opeyemi revealed that Badmus had never shown her public support, never liked or commented on her posts, and vice versa. She recalled a recent encounter at the late Murphy Afolabi’s candlelight memorial, where their interaction was limited to a simple greeting.
Aiyeola admitted that she initially brushed off the comment until online trolls began using it to mock her, which intensified her frustration and prompted her to speak out.
