A concerned Nigerian, identified on social media as @gib_smoke, has shared a chilling account of back-to-back armed robbery incidents at Lanre Bus Stop along the LASU–Sherri Expressway, Igando, Lagos.
The first attack occurred on the night of July 25, 2025, when armed robbers stormed the area around 10:00 p.m., fatally shooting four people. According to the eyewitness, police arrived over 45 minutes later, only to arrest innocent people returning from work.

Police Response Sparks Public Outrage
Sharing his experience on X (formerly Twitter), @gib_smoke stated:
“Along LASU-Sherri express road [Igando] around 10 p.m. yesterday, July 25, 2025, armed robbers came to rob Lanre Bus Stop and shot four people dead.”
He added that police officers from Igando and Idimu police stations arrived late in yellow buses, arrested random passersby, and left without addressing the crime scene properly.
“Police showed up over 45 minutes after the robbers left… and arrested a handful of people coming back from work,” he wrote.
Shockingly, less than 24 hours later, on July 26, the same gang of robbers returned to the exact location and robbed more residents, with no police presence reported during or after the attack.
“Hopefully, @PoliceNG officers will return again tonight to arrest more people. After armed robbery operations, police will operate their own,” he said.
