Peter Obi donates N25m to college in Anambra [PHOTOS]

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, donated N25 million to the Dominican Sisters’ College, Abatete, in Anambra State on Sunday.

Obi made the donation as part of his contribution to laying of the foundation of the school’s boys’ hostel.

In a post made on X, the former governor of Anambra State said he has been part of the school’s growth since his time as governor of the state.

According to him, he constructed the girls’ hostel of the school from scratch when he was governor and ensured that the female students had a safe, secure, and conducive environment to live and learn.

He wrote on X, “Today, I laid the foundation of the boys’ hostel and continued my commitment to the school by donating N25 million.

“Education remains the most productive investment any nation can make. It is the foundation of progress, the initial ladder of pulling people out of poverty, and the bedrock of peace and development.

“We must continue to support our health and educational institutions and poverty alleviation if we are to build a strong and sustainable nation for our future leaders,” Obi noted.
