A Nigerian lady, Iruoma Chikaodinaka, has shared an incident involving her colleague who reportedly ended her engagement following a Facebook comment made by her fiancé.

She took to Facebook to share the details of her encounter.

Lady calls off engagement

According to Iruoma, the engagement was called off after the man commented on a social media post in a manner that appeared to justify or defend cheating.

She explained that the comment raised serious concerns for the woman, leading her to reconsider the relationship and ultimately withdraw from the planned marriage.

Iruoma revealed the story while reacting to a separate but related incident in which a man reportedly cancelled his wedding after taking issue with a comment made by his fiancée on the trending “Ada Igbo” story on social media.

She said …

“My colleague too returned an engagement ring after she saw the comment of her fiance saying a man cheating shouldn’t be the reason for a marriage to end as far as he takes care of his famly very well that women like making something out of nothing <3 my colleague snr bro saw the comment screenshot it and send to my colleague telling her the relationship/ marriage will never work.”
