I can never date a girl who has dated a yahoo boy before. Many girls who have dated a yahoo boy before have no character or dignity. That kind of girl is lured by money only, she likes money and I can’t trust that kind of girl,” he added.

Over the years, the lavish lifestyle associated with suspected fraudsters has remained a major topic online, with critics arguing that social media has glamorised quick wealth and materialism.

In 2024, several relationship discussions also trended after users debated whether financial status now plays a bigger role than character in modern dating.

While supporters of the man argued that relationships built around money rarely last, others insisted that individuals should not be judged solely by who they dated in the past, stressing that personal growth and change remain possible.
