NPFL: Kwara United begin off-season break after relegation survival

Kwara United FC have commenced their end-of-season break following the conclusion of the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Harmony Boys finished the 2025–26 NPFL campaign in 16th position, narrowly escaping relegation on the final day of the season.

Kwara United also exited the 2026 President Federation Cup following a defeat to Sokoto United in the Round of 32.

The Ilorin-based club confirmed the off-season break in a statement issued by the club’s media department and signed by Chairman Kumbi Titiloye on Thursday.

According to the statement, screening and testing of prospective players will commence next weekend as the club begins early preparations for the 2026–27 campaign.

The newly selected players and the existing players are expected to resume pre-season activities after the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
