Transfer: Konyaspor hold talks with Awaziem over summer move

Turkish Super Lig club Konyaspor have held talks with Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem, DAILY POST reports.

Awaziem is expected to leave French club Nantes this summer following the Canaries relegation last season.

According to Turkish news outlet, Spor Depor, Konyaspor are keen to secure the services of the former Leganes stars.

Awaziem once played in Turkey for Caykur Rizespor, and Alanyaspor.

The versatile defender spent the second half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Rizespor, making 16 appearances.

The 29-year-old was loaned to Alanyaspor for the 2021/22 season, scoring once in 22 appearances

Konyaspor finished ninth in the Turkish Super Lig last season, and lost 2-1 to Trabzonspor in the Turkey Cup final.
