Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson is celebrating her 30th birthday with a new pair of kicks while the Aces take on the Minnesota Lynx.
In typical Wilson style, she’s adding another major milestone to her already historic career. The four-time WNBA MVP has been named the latest athlete to grace the cover of the iconic Wheaties box, joining a legendary lineup of champions celebrated by the brand.
Wilson also took to the court today in her new “A’Wheaties” A’Two Player Exclusive Nikes, featuring Wheaties-inspired colors, milk-splatter details around the signature “A” logo and “Champion” emblazoned on the heel as a nod to both her championship legacy and the Breakfast of Champions.
3Earlier today during the Aces vs. Lynx game, Wilson laced up her new “A’Wheaties” A’Two Player Exclusive Nikes for the first time. Inspired by the iconic Wheaties color palette, the shoe blends a bold design with a subtle milk-splatter detail around the “A” logo on the tongue, finished with “Champion” on the heel tab as a nod to the Breakfast of Champions and Wilson’s championship legacy.
Today’s game was played in Minneapolis, home of General Mills. The iconic cereal celebrated Wilson’s 30th birthday with a custom Wheaties birthday cake.

A’ja Wilson Is On The Cover Of The Wheaties Box
A few weeks ago, Wheaties announced that Wilson will be the newest athlete on the cover of the iconic cereal box, and the MVP herself shared a video about what that means to her.
“As you guys may know, your girl is on the cover of a Wheaties box, and this is still surreal, still unbelievable,” she enthusiastically said. “I grew up seeing legends on this box, so young A’ja is a little shocked that she’s on the cover, this is a pretty big deal. It’s truly an honor to be a champion on the Wheaties box, but championships are not always about the trophies and the rings, it’s really about showing up every single day as your true self ready to compete at the highest level and I hope that I can continue to do that and I hope that you can do it too.” She finished her video by sharing that her Wheaties box can be found in stores this summer.
Many fans took to the comments of the IG post to share positive words for Wilson.

3In mid-June, Wheaties first announced Wilson’s box cover. The 3x WNBA Champion and league’s first ever 4x Kia WNBA MVP embodies what it means to be a Wheaties Champion.

Three Aces Players Have Been Named To The 2026 USA FIBA World Cup Team
3Three Aces players have been named to 2026 USA Basketball World Cup Team — Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young. They’ll help Team USA compete for the USA’s fifth straight World Cup gold in Berlin from September 4-13.
According to a press release sent to The Blast from the Aces organization, “Of the three, Wilson has the most international experience. She is a two-time Olympic and two-time World Cup gold medalist who earned M’VP honors at the 2022 World Cup after averaging 17.2 points and 7.5 rebounds in fewer than 22 minutes per game.”
Wilson also competed in qualifying tournaments in 2019 and 2020, helping the US to two first place finishes.
