Heavy rainfall has destroyed the Yinti Bridge in Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State, disrupting movement between more than 20 communities in the area.

The bridge is the shortest route linking Bida and Badeggi to Katcha, making its collapse a major setback for residents who depend on it for their daily movement.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Niger State Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Aishatu Lami Aliyu.
