Marisa Tomei is taking her packed calendar in stride after what she calls a “fallow period,” when the pandemic and strike action by entertainment workers forced her to hit the brakes.
The 61-year-old actor features in the upcoming horror film “Hellhound” with Sam Rockwell, as well as “The Mongoose” with Liam Neeson. She also reprised her role as Peter Parker’s late Aunt May in Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” appearing in flashbacks.
Reflecting on her busy year in a recent interview with PEOPLE, she hinted that she isn’t slowing down, especially as Hollywood appears to be finding its balance again after a period of downtime.
“It’s been a seriously busy year!” she said, laughing. “It’s nice, after an enforced fallow period, to find things that were speaking to me that I could say yes to.”
“It feels like, energetically, things needed a certain amount of time before they clicked back into place,” she continued, emphasizing that “it’s nice.”
