WAFCON 24: “I will be watching” – Atiku drums support for Super Falcons

The former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has thrown his support for the Super Falcons ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals.

The Super Falcons are prepared to face the host nation at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, Morocco on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

In a post made on X, Atiku wished the Super Falcons a successful outing at today’s tournament.

He also assured that he would be watching the Super Falcons play against their Moroccan counterparts in Rabat.

He also asked his followers and supporters if they would be watching the Super Falcons play the Moroccan team today.

He wrote on X, “Wishing our @NGSuper_Falcons a superb outing in today’s finals with their Moroccan counterpart. I will be watching. What about you?”

Recall that other Nigerian leaders including President Bola Tinubu, his wife, Oluremi and Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party had also supported the team.

The leaders urged the Nigerian team to play their best in the finals and bring the cup home.
