The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has challenged clubs to ensure their head coaches attend post -match press conference at the end of each game.

The NPFL declared that any club that fail to abide with the regulation will be fined N1m.

Clubs were briefed on the lastest development at a pre-season seminar for media officers, supporters’ club chairmen, and chief security officers in Lafia, Nasarawa State on Friday.

Head coaches were challenged to take up the responsibility of addressing the media after each game instead of sending their assistants.

NPFL maintained that it is the standard practice in other parts of the world.

The 2025/26 NPFL season is scheduled to kick-off on Friday, 22 August.

Holders Remo Stars will take on Rivers United in the opening game of the campaign same day.
