Abia Warriors head coach, Imama Amapakabo, has declared his team’s readiness for the new season, DAILY POST reports.

The Umuahia club will start their campaign against four-time champions Kano Pillars on Sunday.

Abia Warriors finished third last season, their highest position in the NPFL.

Umu Chineke are unbeaten in their last four games against Kano Pillars.

Amapakabo declared that his team is ready for the challenges ahead.

“It will be funny if at this time, a few days to the commencement of the league, we say we’re not prepared. We’ve been able to do our bits in our best possible way, I think we will be building on whatever it is that we’ve been able to achieve last season,” Amapakabo told the club’s media.
