A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has cautioned Nigerians against raining insults on President Bola Tinubu.

Igbokwe particularly declared that those calling the president a criminal have insulted all Nigerians, describing it as “unacceptable and despicable”.

DAILY POST reports that human rights activist Omoyele Sowore had, in a post on his social media account, described the president as a criminal.

Sowore, reacting to President Tinubu’s controversial remarks in Brazil, wrote, “This criminal actually went to Brazil to state that there is NO MORE corruption under his regime in Nigeria. What audacity to lie shamelessly!”

Responding, Igbokwe, in a Facebook post, said, “calling the President of Nigeria and the number one citizen a criminal is an insult on 250m Nigerians.

“He indirectly called all Nigerians criminals. This is unacceptable and despicable in the 21st Century.

“We expect that there is a limit for brigandage.”
