Abdulmumin Jibrin, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in Kano State, has suggested that President Bola Tinubu and former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, should work together.

Jibrin said Tinubu should remain president and complete the South’s eight-year term.

Featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Jibrin expressed his admiration for Tinubu.

He said: “I’m a Tinubu person; he likes me, and I like him. I will choose Kwankwaso and Bola Tinubu to work together, but Tinubu as president, because I actually believe the south should finish its eight years.”

This comes amid speculation and calls for Kwankwaso to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of 2027.

Kwankwaso is regarded as a formidable force in the North, with a large following, and has been a long-standing ally of Tinubu.
