NPFL: Odigie harps on improvement of league standard

Bayelsa United technical adviser, Monday Odigie believes the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has the potential to improve its current standard.

Odigie said that a lot is required for the league to improve.

DAILY POST reports that the NPFL have recently aligned its calendar with top footballing nations, a move that would enhance its competitiveness.

“What ever we are witnessing now in the NPFL we can always get better, as it is we need to improve on what we have.” Odigie remarked.

The 2025-26 season, which started three weeks ago, has so far seen minimal complaints about officiating.

The matchday three fixtures witnessed six home wins and four away draws.
