Popular American activist and CEO of the conservative youth organisation, Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, was shot on Wednesday.

Turning Point public relations manager Aubrey Laitsch revealed that Kirk was shot in the neck during an event at a Utah college.

“We are confirming that he was shot and we are praying for Charlie,” he said.

A viral video on the Internet captured him speaking under a tent emblazoned with the slogan “The American Comeback” and “Prove Me Wrong” before he was shot.

Reacting to the incident, President Donald Trump, in a post on Truth, said, “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”
