The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has ordered that all US flags be lowered to half-mast until Sunday in honour of Charlie Kirk, co-founder of the conservative youth organisation, Turning Point USA.

Kirk died at the hospital after being shot.

Trump made this known in a statement he released on his Truth Social.

“In honour of Charlie Kirk, a truly great American patriot, I am ordering all American flags throughout the United States lowered to half-mast until Sunday evening at 6 P.M.,” President Trump wrote.

This comes after Kirk died from a shooting while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.

DAILY POST reports that President Donald Trump had confirmed Kirk’s death.
