Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, who also leads the African Democratic Congress, in Kebbi State, has petitioned top security chiefs over alleged plans to destabilise the state through the importation of political thugs, foreign mercenaries, and illegal arms.

In the petition, dated September 10, 2025, Malami raised alarm to the National Security Adviser, the Inspector General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, and the Comptroller-Generals of Immigration and the Civil Defence Corps.
