Why I joined APC — Former Edo NCP chairman

Former chairman of the defunct National Conscience Party, NCP, in Edo State, Victor Ogba, says he decided to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, because of President Bola Tinubu’s impressive and landmark reforms.

Ogba made the assertion on Saturday in Abuja while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He hinted that his official declaration for the APC has been fixed for September 16.

Ogba who doubles as the National President, Movement for Nigerian Transformation, MNT, commended Tinubu for his reforms across all sectors which could be described as courageous.

“The landmark reforms have continued to attract more members to the APC,” he said.

He noted that he was received by the APC chairman of ward 5, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta, on Aug.22.

“I have played politics for long in Edo and it is time to go back to my state, Delta.

“This process will officially commence on Sept. 16 and is in line with my commitment towards a progressive Nigeria.

“I will use my wealth of experience in politics to the greater good of the APC,” he pledged.

Ogba affirmed his resolve to collaborate with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori among other APC stakeholders in Delta, to promote and stabilise the polity.

“I contributed to the NCP’s success through effective planning and mobilisation and will do so in APC.

“I will abide by the dictates of the party’s constitution and urge Nigerians to continue supporting the APC to make President Tinubu’s vision feasible” he said.
