Atalanta manager Ivan Juric claimed Ademola Lookman was given a “bad advice” after the winger tried to force through a move to Inter Milan in the summer, DAILY POST reports.

Lookman submitted an official transfer request, and went on AWOL after Atalanta rejected Inter Milan’s €45m bid in August.

The 27-year-old was frozen out of the squad on his return to Bergamo five days before the start of the 2025/26 season.

Lookman made his first appearance of the campaign against Torino on Sunday afternoon replacing Kamaldeen Sulemana in the 87th minute.

Juric declared after the game that the player was badly advised by people around him to push for a move to Inter.

“He (Lookman) spoke to me and the team on Monday, he was surrounded by people who had given him some bad advice,” he was quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“He has a great winning mentality and now we need to get him back in shape physically.”
