Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, the lawmaker known for his polygamous lifestyle defended his stance by comparing polygamy to balance in life.

“I’m sure you have a wife and you also have girlfriends, just imagine me telling you to stand on one leg; you know how difficult that is. But to stand on two, three, or four legs is much more balanced.” Ned Nwoko told the interviewer.

When questioned about the biblical stance on polygamy, Nwoko said, The Old Testament does (support it), and I am a man of the Old Testament.

When asked whether he planned to take more wives, the senator declined to answer directly but admitted he would make the same choice again if given the chance.

Addressing allegations of domestic violence, Ned Nwoko dismissed them as false, insisting that he isn’t a violent person and he respects and loves all his wives and kids.
