Fubara vows to make Rivers investment hub

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has stated that he intends to make the state an investment hub.

He made this statement while receiving Aisha Rimi, the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC), along with the management and staff of NIPC, at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

In a statement obtained by the New Daily Prime on Friday, Fubara said during the visit that his administration would partner with governmental and corporate organisations to explore and utilise the limitless investment potentials of the state.

Additionally, the governor expressed his commitment to continued support for NIPC and prayed that the Council would support efforts to grow the state’s economy, particularly in providing employment for Rivers youths.

He added that the Council would support initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s economy.

Speaking, the CEO of NIPC thanked Fubara for providing the Council with an office for the South-South Zonal Office of NIPC after about 10 years of seeking the same.

Rimi vowed to work with the Rivers State Investment Promotion Agency (RSIPA) to make the state an investment destination, just as the governor pledged.

She also said NIPC would partner with the agency in the efficient operation of the One-Stop Centre (OSC) of RSIPA.

According to her, this partnership would ensure efficient operations of the RSIPA One-Stop Centre.

They were presented to the governor by the board and management of the Rivers State Investment Promotion Agency (RSIPA), led by Lawrence Fubara Anga, Chairman, and Chamberlain Peterside, Director-General.
