2027: Amaechi reveals coalition leaders’ agreement on presidential candidate

The former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said that leaders of the coalition have agreed to throw their full support behind anyone who emerges as the 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers said that the coalition leaders are committed to a free, fair and credible process for the emergence of a presidential candidate ahead of the general elections.

Speaking in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Wednesday, the hunger and hardship faced by Nigerians must be tackled squarely.

“The moment anybody emerges from the primary, all of us will support; that’s the agreement.

“We insist on a free and fair, transparent primary,” Amaechi said

He also called on the people of Rivers State to ensure they register their membership with the ADC in preparation for the 2027 polls.

“Every Rivers man who thinks good of the state and country should move to register with the new party and ensure that we remove the current government and stop the hunger that everybody is suffering from,” he said.
