A lady has shared an extraordinary account on TikTok of how her boyfriend allegedly used ₦1 million she had given him for her business to fund the bride price of another woman he intended to marry.

The revelation has sparked debates on trust, relationships, and financial boundaries in modern dating.

Woman entrusts boyfriend with business fund

According to the woman, she had trusted her boyfriend with the money for her business, unaware that he was secretly planning his wedding with another woman.

The TikTok video shows her recalling the events with incredulity, shaking her head and laughing as she narrates the experience.

“If you ever feel stupid ,let me share something that happened to me,” she said. “I had a boyfriend, and I gave him one million naira — yes, ₦1 million — money that was meant for my business. Do you know what he did with it? He used the money to pay the bride price for his other girlfriend — the woman he was planning to marry.”

Boyfriend allegedly uses money for bride price

The woman added that the situation escalated when both she and the bride-to-be were lodged in the same hotel for seven days leading up to the wedding.

“It is not only that… the man also lodged me and his wife-to-be in the same hotel — the same hotel — for seven straight days. He stayed with me for four days and with her for three days. On the morning of the wedding, I was with him and even helped him get ready, believing it was his friend’s wedding.” she recounted.
