Fire outbreak razes several shops in Kaduna community

Several shops have been destroyed in a fire outbreak at Bakin Dogo area of Abakwa in Kaduna State, leaving traders counting their losses.

The incident was disclosed in a statement issued by the member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Bello El-Rufai.

However, he did not specify the cause of the fire.

According to the statement, the inferno consumed numerous shops and caused significant economic losses to business owners in the affected area.

In response to the incident, the lawmaker disclosed that a committee headed has been constituted to deliver relief assistance and engage community leaders on measures aimed at preventing similar incidents in the future.

The committee is expected to assess the situation on the ground, coordinate the distribution of the intervention fund, and work with stakeholders to strengthen fire prevention and emergency response mechanisms within the community.
