Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has named two outstanding England players following the Three Lions’ 2-1 defeat to Argentina in the World Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

Henry spoke on Fox Sports after England lost to Argentina following goals from Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez.

Speaking after the encounter in Atlanta, the Frenchman singled out Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane for their outstanding performances against Lionel Scaloni’s side.

“I just want to say, ‘Well done, England,’ because the way the match started, it didn’t look like it was going to be like this,” Henry said.

“Bellingham was outstanding. Kane was outstanding. I mean, we can name those two because they were more of the guys who were scoring the goals.

“Gordon scored tonight. Well done, England, seriously, because it didn’t look like it was going to be that way.
