After four months with the hit Vegas show “FANTASY,” Kelsie shared some insight with The Blast about how she taps into her empowered side, prepares for photoshoots, and embraces vulnerability while performing in lingerie and bikinis. She also revealed the reality behind the glitter and high heels, explaining why being a Vegas showgirl requires far more strength and stamina than many might realize.
5Feeling confident is a huge part of modeling and performing. When asked what helps her to tap into the energy of feeling sexy and empowered, Kelsie said it’s all about connection.
“For me, really connecting with the emotion of the moment is key. Thinking about the character I’m playing or the mood I want to convey helps me embody that sense of sexiness and empowerment,” she told The Blast. “Also, knowing my own strengths and what makes me feel good about myself definitely shines through while I’m performing.”
Pre-Shoot Routines That Help Get Into The Right Mindset
5For Kelsie preparation for a big shoot starts way before call time.
“My pre-photoshoot routine is all about preparation without being overly intense,” she said. “I always prioritize a good night’s sleep and a nourishing breakfast to make sure I’m energized for the shoot. To feel truly connected to my body during the shoot, I incorporate some light movement beforehand, like gentle stretching and a quick ab warmup.”
Balancing Vulnerability With Confidence
5One thing Kelsie said is a must when modeling lingerie or a bikini is “authenticity.” She added, “Balancing vulnerability and confidence in lingerie or bikini modeling is about owning who you are and understanding that true power comes from authenticity.”
If nervousness enters the chat, she immediately shifts her focus to “the strength and beauty I want to show the camera.”
“My advice is to practice self-acceptance, stand in front of a mirror and appreciate your body for what it is,” she said. “Remember that vulnerability isn’t weakness; it’s a strength that allows you to connect with others.”

Kelsie shared a misconception that many people may have about showgirls.
“One big misconception people have about being a showgirl in Las Vegas is that it’s all glitz and glamour,” she said. “In reality, it takes incredible discipline, rigorous training, and immense physical stamina to perform multiple shows a night, often in elaborate costumes and high heels.”
