Still, the singer remained optimistic about her work and future. “Even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’!” she said, adding that she still had many things she hoped to accomplish.

Her nephew, Brian Seaver, announced her passing on behalf of the family through a video shared on her official Instagram account. However, he did not reveal the cause of her death.
Seaver explained that Parton had asked him years earlier to make the announcement when the time came, though he admitted he had never fully understood how difficult the responsibility would eventually be.
He said the country icon had “lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus,” expressing his belief that she had been reunited with her late husband, Carl Dean, her parents and other loved ones.
Tributes began pouring in following the announcement, with President Donald Trump ordering U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff nationwide for a week.
Seaver ended the family’s statement with an emotional farewell, saying, “Rest in peace, Aunt Dolly — Aunt, Granny, Gigi. May God bless Dolly Parton, and may God bless you all. She will always love you.”
