“Asake will perform live at my wedding” – Wizkid declares

Nigerian Grammy-winning superstar, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has revealed that he wants fellow hitmaker Asake to perform at his wedding.

Wizkid made the revelation during a recent appearance on Apple Music Radio, where he sat down with Asake and DJ Tunez for a relaxed, fun-filled conversation.

The Starboy boss confessed that Asake’s breakout hit ‘Omo Ope’ turned him into a fan from the very first listen.

“‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’. I think you have to play that one on my wedding day. It is an amazing record, he said.”

However, he said his all-time favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’, and he would love to hear it performed live at his wedding.

Wizkid went on to shower praises on Asake, describing him as one of the most talented vocalists in Africa, a global force, a blessing to African music.

“You are amazing. You have one of the most special voices from home and in the world. I’ve told you that like a million times… You are a blessing to African music, he added.”

Wizkid, who is currently in a romantic relationship with his third baby mama and manager Jada P, has been teasing the idea of a wedding for years.

The couple share three children together, two boys and a girl and remain one of the industry’s most talked-about celebrity families.

Though he has not announced a date, this new revelation has once again sparked excitement among fans, who are eager to see when the Starboy boss will finally walk down the aisle.
